Climb the 8 highest mountains in the world as you read your way to the top.
All students are required to read at least 40 books in 5th grade.
These books will need to be at the student's grade level and must be at least 100 pages long.  Exceptions will be made on an individual basis.

​Fantasy- Students will read 5 fantasy/science fiction books in order to summit Fantasy.

​Biography or Autobiography-
Students will read at 1 biography or 1 autobiography in order to summit Bio/Auto.

Historical Fiction- Students will read 4 historical fiction books in order to summit Historical Fiction.

PictureMt. Elbrus- Europe 5,642 m
Mystery- Students will read 4 mysteries in order to summit Mystery.

PictureMt. Aconcagua- South America 6,961 m
Realistic Fiction-Students will read 5 realistic fiction books in order to summit Realistic Fiction.

PictureDenali- Mount McKinley- Alaska 6,194 m
​Poetry- Students will read 4 poetry books- novels in verse in order to summit Poetry.

PictureK2-Asia 8,611 m
  • Book of Choice- Students will read 8 books of choice from any genre in order to summit Book of Choice.

PictureMt. Everest- Asia 8,848 m
Students who have completed the requirement of all 9 mountains will have successfully made it to the TOP OF THE WORLD!
